Food was good and well-presented, and reasonably priced for the quality. Loved the hokkaido white corn, seafood fried rice and agedashi tofu. Good selection of drinks, even non-alcoholic ones. Location not the most accessible but worth a trip down. Pretty nice place to chill with a nice view from the rooftop. Friendly service.
A hidden gem in the middle of the Tai Seng office / Industrial area! Best part is that it opens till 1am! Great for late night dinner n gathering. Food is yummy, especially their signature dishes such as the 7 kind Sashimi, Tontoro pork, Surume Ika, Hokkaido White corn, softshell crab maki. Chef Sean's garlie fried rice was full of wok hei! Service is wonderful too! Especially miki, with prompt service n great recommendations! Definitely will be back!
The ambience was inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for a delightful meal. The food was delicious and the service provided by Caleb was exceptional. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience. Overall, a fantastic combination of great ambience, delicious food, and outstanding service. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.Had a wonderful lunch experience at Shinji . We got the chef omakase special and it was just amazing.The menu is pretty standard omakase stuff but the execution was on point for every single course.The chef and service staff service was also impeccable as expected for a joint such as this.

Sushi Kimura, a distinguished One Michelin Star Restaurant, boasts a 22-seater fine-dining sushi-ya that offers guests a private and intimate atmosphere. The design is meticulously crafted to evoke tradition and the changing seasons, achieved through the use of centuries-old Noren (room dividers), Chef Kimura’s cherished heirlooms, and exquisite Japanese earthen wall plastering, where each shade symbolizes a specific season. The restaurant is adorned with personal touches from Chef Kimura, paying homage to those who influenced him. This includes a ceremonial tea set hand-painted by his master and intricately hand-carved stamps on placemats, reflecting the Japanese symbol for the current season.
Comfortable space. Went for lunch and was presented with familiar but high quality ingredients. The Nigiri rice here is still perhaps on of the best you will get in SG, each and every Nigiri is served with the same warm temperature of rice which shows their attention to details. Staff are attentive and the chef himself was super friendly.
My wife and I had a pleasant time at Sushi Kimura, where we enjoyed a great tasting menu. Ingredients used were simple yet so so fresh that every mouthful was a colourful burst of flavour on our tongues. The elegance of the dishes shown through, and the interactions of Chef with us was amusing and added a light touch to the meal, through all the seriousness the Chef had in the preparation of the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
There are 3 great Japanese chef at Sushi Kimura. Friendly chef Kimura made our experience comfortable and pleasant. Chef explained the types and parts of the fish from different parts of Hokkaido. The ingredients were very fresh. The settings and introduction of every dish were matched nicely. The sushi rice spread in your mouth so wonderfully that could only be mastered by a high level sushi chef. The fragrance and tasty grilled fish felt so good for the palate. The Organic Jack bean tea from his friend's farm ended so well.
This spot is becoming one of my favorite omakase spots in Singapore. Chef Tomoo is so genuine and cheerful, always manages to make customers smile! Have been twice for the Rikyu omakase for dinner and once for lunch, very worth it based on portions and quality of fish! My favorite is seared scallop and their special uni + ikura + tuna + onsen egg bowl

This was a divine experience. Wemt there to celebrate my wifes bday and it's actually my first omakase experience. Food was excellent, vibe was excellent, everything was just top notch. A bit on the expensive side but well worth it. Location is also awesome. After a nice meal you can go outside and walk by the river taking photos. Trull a magnificent place to go to for special events.
A sublime experience. We loved every single dish. There was a good amount served - we were full at the end, but not uncomfortably so. The sushi is incredible, and the other dishes are unique and tasty. The service is also done very well, quite attentive but not overbearing. It isn't cheap but you will enjoy every minute.
Undoubtedly the best Omakase experience you could get in Singapore. The sushi chef was incredibly professional, friendly and a master at his craft. The staff members were also attentive, highly knowledgeable and cordial.The ingredients were very fresh and presented in unique and satisfying combinations. Would highly recommend and I hope to make a return visit soon.
Ki-sho 葵匠

Ki-sho 葵匠, meaning “aristocratic craftsmanship” in Japanese, embodies this value in every aspect of the dining experience. Located in a historic black-and-white bungalow on Scotts Road, the restaurant features a kappo-style dining room with an L-shaped hinoki wood counter for 11 guests, as well as two private dining rooms on the upper deck for eight and 12 guests, offering an intimate and exclusive dining setting. The essence of Japanese artisanship and hospitality, known as omotenashi, is evident in the architecture, tableware, seasonal ingredients, and sake selection at Ki-sho 葵匠
One of the best Omakase that I have tasted in Singapore, and I opted for the lunch menu. Do not underestimate the portion of this omakase. I am quite an eater, and I am quite full when I reach the unagi set. The flavours of each dishes are amazing, the ottoro sashimi is really good. For A5 wagyu, you will need to top up an additional SGD50, which I did, and it is so worth it.
Excellent food and first class service. Expensive but reasonable in Singapore for establishments of this standing. Lunch Omakase between S$150-250. Extensive wine list. Sushi rice dipped in brown vinegar accentuated the taste of the sushi 🍣. Highly recommended! Great location. Ample parking. Only thing a bit off about the establishment was that I thought that the hair length of some the sushi chefs was too long for professionalism sake. Nevertheless, they delivered great food 🥘
Such refined dining experience! The sake pairing was phenomenal. Their sake and whisky selections are top notch. We love how passionate the chef is about uni. All the dishes were very delicious and beautiful presented. We booked our return visit at the end of the meal. Look forward to our next meal at Ki-Sho!
I would have given a 6th star if I could. If you have certain expectations to how good Japanese dishes should be cooked, you are in for some nice little surprises. This is a perfect place for uni lovers too as you get to taste different types of all-so-sweet uni. It was a great decision to splurge on Sake pairing as it completed the meal and the sake got better and better with a couple of very impressive private Ki-Sho brew.

Very good value set lunch - mainly chirashi and other types of don . Food quality is good and generous for the modest pricing - most items below $20 and comes with a soup and a rather tasty stew of fish and vegetables. Orders are delivered promptly and quickly and generally staff are all responsive and polite. Popular joint so expect a queue, which was not too long on the day I visited
went for dinner omakase and food was awesome! a weird flex that the staff drink of the job but it’s cool. almost all groups who went there are celebrating birthday and they also had mini birthday celebration (+ free polaroid taken!) price is great for the food. although portion is small, one does feel full after the end of the meal.
Love the quality. You get good quality fresh sushi that melts in your mouth. They have a bar chirashi for lunch and during weekends you queue starting from 12 noon. Came here a couple of times. Tried to call to make reservations to no avail. Apparently you can book on line please check out the attached photo. The next door shop also belongs to them. Here there is options for omakase at about $80pp, good value for money. The chirashi is about $15 to $20. Very good choice. And all good comes with complimentary appetizer and a cold barley tea. Must try the chirashi.

Was fortunate enough to get a table for two without reservations as we arrived before 5pm. Really enjoyed the premium sushi platter, grilled tenderloin, and avacado kombu. Also ordered a California hand roll, negitoro hand roll, and azari miso soup, which were ok. Overall, found the food quality excellent.

Every time I visit Sen-ryo in ION, I am drawn by Kok Wai’s exceptional skills in preparing delicious Japanese skewers. His expertise in the art of Kushiyaki is truly commendable and has consistently made our dining experience enjoyable. Came to Sen of Japan twice. The Grilled Tontoro (Pork Jowl) is definitely better than Jeju’s black pork! There’s a charred fragrance of the pork that blends well with the sauce. The Mekajiki steak (yellowtail) is a mixed of softness and crisp exterior. Definitely must try! Also, the Mala Maki is compulsory to brighten your day!

No fishy taste👍🏼👍🏼 Tako wasabi — definitely a good starter, not overwhelming on the wasabi. Chawanmushi and Ebi fry roll were rather standard. Would come back here to dine, cost adds up quite a bit tho
